A Room For Living: My Living Room Update

Welcome to the latest iteration of my living room! Once a point of frustration and now my new happy place!

To say this room has changed a few times would be an understatement... I’m now on my second couch, the TV has been mounted on two different walls, the decor on my coffee table has changed about five times since I got the table last Friday, a new rug has been added, and the layout itself has been completely flipped. I’m sure I’m missing something, but the point is as I grow and change so does my decor. Who knows, this rug may be in my dining room next week...

It’s been almost 6 months since I moved into this apartment and the one thing I said I wouldn’t do is rush myself. (Not for Instagram or anyone else). I took very little from my last apartment so it took some time to find all of the components. Let’s be honest time and money! (lol) I wanted this space to be very representative of me and where I am in life. Through a combination of patience, hours of scouring the internet for deals, scrolling through Facebook marketplace and Offer Up, the sale section at West Elm, I’m finally at a place where I can breathe a sigh of relief.

Home decor is definitely an ongoing and ever-changing process, as you can see in the pictures above. My advice would be to take your time, make it personal, don’t be afraid to make mistakes, and just have fun with it!
